You're One Step Away From Friendly, Qualified, Professional Support

New to the clinic?

If you have been suffering from back or neck pain, or associated symptoms such as shoulder issues, or headaches, it may surprise you to learn that this is not uncommon.

It may be reassuring to know you aren't alone in experiencing these symptoms; nor that you may be unaware of what is causing your issues, or how this happened. Or even when or if you will ever reach your desired state of health.

These are common themes when somebody first walks into a chiropractic clinic. That is why your first appointment with us - the initial consultation - is an important fact finding mission.

Finding the answers to these types of questions during this consultation will provide a first step in focusing on how to attain your desired health goals and also help to provide both a sense of reassurance and that the future can look brighter. In addition to some gentle physical tests, this appointment provides a snapshot of your current state of health and allows us to make predictions on your recovery and future health goals. For most people this will give clarity over the cause of their problem, and optimism for the future.

This session also defines your expectations of the chiropractic process, and the initial direction of your health care. We all have unique ideas on our own health and well being, for now and in the future, and so by defining fundamentally your 'purpose', we can effectively help to devise your own bespoke programme of rehabilitation and future facing improvement.

Your results from this session will be assessed and outlined in more detail at your second appointment, called your Report of Findings. This is also where the specific approach to your care will be explained and agreed. Setting the correct course from the outset will lead to better results and get you to where you want to be faster. Being so thorough in testing and assessing is vital for your progress.

Your Report of Findings session will finish with your first Adjustment. Chiropractic Adjustments are part of what make chiropractors unique, and form the basis of technical terms for specific, spinal manipulative therapy. At the end of this session you will receive additional guidance with stretching, exercise, and other tailored advice that is suitable for your diagnosis and specific to your capabilities.

Congratulations. You have taken the first steps on your journey towards better health.
